The name "Muft Bijli" means free electricity — because with the right system size, a household can generate enough solar power to cover their entire electricity consumption and pay zero electricity bills every month.

Who is Eligible?

The scheme is designed specifically for residential households. Here is who qualifies:

• Indian residential households with their own rooftop
• Homes with an active electricity connection from a DISCOM
• Consumer must be registered with their local electricity provider
• Individual homes as well as flats in housing societies
• The system must be installed by an MNRE-approved vendor

The subsidy is credited directly to your bank account after the system is installed, inspected by the DISCOM, and the net meter is installed.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Here is how the entire process works — from registration to subsidy credit in your account:

Step 1 — Register on the National Portal

Visit pmsuryaghar.gov.in and create your account using your mobile number linked to Aadhaar. Enter your electricity consumer number and DISCOM details.

Step 2 — Select an Approved Vendor

Step 3 — Site Survey & System Design

Our team visits your property, assesses the rooftop, and designs the right solar system based on your electricity usage and available roof space.

Step 4 — Professional Installation

We install your solar system using Tier 1 panels from Waaree, Tata Solar, or Adani Solar — with hot-dip galvanized GI mounting, premium inverters, and ISI-certified wiring.

Step 5 — DISCOM Inspection & Net Meter

Your local electricity provider (DISCOM) inspects the installation and installs a bi-directional net meter that measures how much electricity you export to the grid.

Step 6 — Upload Commissioning Certificate

After the net meter is installed, the commissioning certificate is uploaded on the national portal to complete the process.

Step 7 — Subsidy Credited to Your Account

The Central Government transfers the approved subsidy amount directly to your registered bank account — typically within 30 days of commissioning.
